Where Are CLOS Photos Saved? Camera Roll, CLOS Gallery or Cloud
CLOS saves remote photos in three places: the model's camera roll, the in-app CLOS gallery, or CLOS Cloud. When to use each.
CLOS gives you three places to save the photos captured during a remote session. The right choice depends on who needs the files, when, and in what format. The destination is set when the photographer creates the room — see how to create or join a room.
The three options
- Model’s camera roll — files land in the model’s standard photo library
- CLOS gallery — files stay inside the CLOS app, on the model’s device
- CLOS Cloud — files upload to CLOS Cloud (requires a PRO plan)
When to save to the camera roll or CLOS gallery
Use these when:
- The photographer doesn’t need to review or edit the images before handing them off
- The model or subject is the one who decides which images move forward to editing
When to save to CLOS Cloud
Use CLOS Cloud when:
- The model or subject shouldn’t have access to the captured photos (typical for casting or brand campaigns)
- All photos must be reviewed and selected by the photographer first
- Photos are captured in RAW — most file-sharing apps degrade RAW quality on transfer
- The photographer wants live previews on their own device during the shoot
To finish the upload, the model exits the virtual room after the shoot is over and leaves the app open with the device unlocked. See how uploading to CLOS Cloud works for the full mechanic.
