Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about virtual production with CLOS. Still stuck? Email us.
What is CLOS? +
CLOS is a virtual production platform for remote photo and video shoots. It lets a photographer or director take full remote control of an iPhone or Android camera anywhere in the world — capturing in RAW with files delivered to the cloud in real time.
Which devices does CLOS support? +
CLOS works on iOS, Android and any modern web browser. The capture device can be a smartphone (iPhone or Android); the directing side runs entirely in the browser.
How do I create a virtual room? +
Sign in to CLOS, click "Create Room", and share the invite link with your model, client or team. Everyone joins from any device — no install required for viewers.
Can I download the full photoshoot? +
Yes. All captures land in cloud storage automatically. You can download individual files, selections or the full archive as a single ZIP.
What file formats are supported? +
CLOS captures JPG by default and RAW (DNG) on Pro and Enterprise plans. Video is captured in H.264/H.265 with optional ProRes on Enterprise.
How is CLOS different from Zoom or FaceTime? +
Zoom captures a compressed video stream. CLOS triggers the actual camera sensor — so the file you receive is full-resolution, the same quality as if you were holding the device.
Is my content secure? +
All transfers are end-to-end encrypted. Rooms are access-controlled and Enterprise plans support dedicated servers and DPA agreements.
